A sample of the projects I have worked on. Please contact me for a more comprehensive list.
During my 20 years as a designer, I have covered a large spectrum of the design lifecycle, from project infancy creating wind tunnel models, component design, manufacturing troubleshooting, and non-conformance management to production delivery at the Final Assembly Line (FAL).
For example, in composite materials, my designs include the Spoilers (Carbon Fibre Sandwich Construction) used on the Boeing 787, Virgin Atlantic Upper-Class Seat utilised on their fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft, fairings on business jets and the Mooring Mast Interface module on the Airlander 10 airship.
For Gas Turbines applications, I designed the Turbine Nozzle Guide Vanes (NGV) for the EPI TP400 Engine utilised on the Airbus A400M I later moved to be a design and weight manager for that engine. For the Boeing 777 & Airbus A340, I designed components within the Variable Stator Vane Mechanism of the Trent 800 & 500 engines. For Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engine installed on the Bombardier CSeries, I designed part of the ECS and TAI system as I also had previously done on the Nimrod aircraft for BAE Systems. In addition to production engine components, I have designed specific Rig test parts for the Trent XWB Engine and most recently for Rolls Royce UltraFan.
