Toolsets I utilise in my design solutions include industry-standard CAD packages including CATIA V5, Siemens NX & CADDS 5 for Modelling and Drafting to customers' specifications. The file management systems I am a competent user of include TeamCenter, ENOVIA & SmarTeam. Further specialist software used frequently in my designs includes DOORS (Requirement and Interface management), Fibersim (Ply layup optimisation and manufacturing sequence), and SAP (supply chain). Naturally, I am also a competent user of standard office software.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, cycling and spending time at my cabin in the wilderness.

I am competent through all aspects of the design cycle from creating concepts for customer’s downselection, turning the idea into a mature master model with associated drawings, coordinating the design through the manufacturing and testing cycles and finally writing the supporting technical reports and documentation. I enjoy problem-solving and the challenges of design. When I embark on a task, I will complete it to a high standard with minimal supervision.
